Schematics of the control board


Could you share the schematics of the control board? The control board came along with the desktop cnc I bought from a vendor. Unfortunately, the nano board got broken and I had to replace it. I don't know the pin positions, so I did the best I could.

The problem is that only one set of pins to connect Stepper motor work. That is, I can plug any steper motor in one particular port, and it would work. Stepper motors connected to other pins/ports don' work.

It is the left-most port on the board. And it only works on passing a G-code for Y-axis. Passing G-code for X & Z axes only make a very mild buzzing sound, but don't vibrate or work.

And what will I do if the new control board that I order is as sub-par as my last one? Pay up for yet another faulty board? At some point of time, I am going to need schematics/datasheet.

I would think that any reputed vendor is duty-bound to provide datasheet.

So let me reiterate my request - Please provide schematics/datasheet of your control board.

if a motor buz, check the curtrent setting on the small driver boards (A4988).

swap the driver and check situation.

Check the nano board from pin to the IC. Most nano boards are the same.

Hi everyone!


Solution is simple.

Due to design of board, Arduino Nano output is like:

X dir = 2

Y dir = 4

Z dir = 6

X step = 3

Y step = 5

Z step = 7

Just edit in file "cpu_map_atmega328p.h" recompile sketch, upload to board and will work again.

In my case, GRBL 0.9j version is working "like a charm" with GRBL Controller.

Ah! DO NOT forget: parameter 100, 101, 102 must be set at 400.0 for Nema 17 motors.

Thanks! I’ve been working with grbl 1.1.

i figured that this vendor has probably over written firmware on nano, and ended up buying new board from another manufacturer.

That actually worked. I have grbl 1.1 running. Do a $$ command and record operating parameters before upgrading to compare. Cool.

  • it is possible to have the print file of the carriage carrying the z axis motor. on my 2417 it was damaged after 6 months. I have the version with a larger motor. I have a 3D printer and I could print it directly.
  • Hello to everyone I am new here and a newcomer to CNC laser cutting world too. I have bought a CNC Laser cutting machine with a 15W laser which has a electronic board in a separate metal box, I would like to put a fan on this unit too; I am going to install the box on a special support near the laser head (the seller did not send any type of fixing for this part). Must I connect to control card fan plug or there is another free plug on the Laseraxe control board (CNCC Mini control board last model ). Thanks
  • Hello... I can't understant why all my step motors work oposite. What do i mean when push down button from programm the step motor go up and when push up the step motor go down. Exactly the same happen in all axes, reverse moving. Is any option- setting from the program where can reverse the moving? Or the bord is damaged? Best, Dimitris
