If your laser has a focus that is adjustable then spin it to get the tightest beam if not focusable then use the plastic cylinder to lower or raise the laser to the cylinder
Unless your laser has PWM, you will need to turn off TTL in the software before turning on the laser at all! Otherwise, you are turning it on full power, as I found out.
Once you turn on the laser in Weak Power Mode (lasers with PWM have a button on the laser for this) you will do one of two things...
a) If your laser can be focused like a camera (twisting the aperture at the bottom where the beam comes out) you will simply rotate the barrel until the beam is as small and round as possible. If it is an oval then it is wrong and you need to keep adjusting it. Don't go to far in either CW or CCW direction. It would be bad if the barrel were to come loose.
b) if your laser does not focus by turning the barrel (there isn't one there to turn) then you need to have your work piece on the table top with the laser directly over it. Then, place the provided nylon spacer under the laser body and lower it until it is barely touching. Tighten the set screws and you're done, until you change out the item being lased.
Basically put your glasses on and in the CNCC software click the WS box. The laser should power on low wattage. Then turn the focus ring until the smallest dot possible is in focus. Click the WS off and try a engave. You should get a nice tight cut or engrave now.

And how do you turn on the laser from the software to do that?
There are two level laser power levels that are built in the first is WS or weak spindle and the other is SP or strong spindle.
Use WS with your safety glasses on to focus the beam.
How about step by step on this process please? Thank you in advance.

hi, you can read manual in the download area. it show you step by step how to do this job, thanks
