When you start Madden 21, the variety of game modes can be very confusing at first. Beginners in particular will wonder if they should make their first attempts at walking better in a friendly match, face of the franchise, Madden Ultimate Team (MUT 21 Coins), franchise fashion, superstar KO mode or The Yard.
Our tip: If you're a complete newcomer, choose the story mode called Face of the Franchise. He's long-winded and has a mediocre story, but introduces you to the game (as a quarterback) from scratch. In the other modes, knowledge of control is already required.
If you're already familiar with basic control, choose either MUT for football with classic rules or the new The Yard mode for backyard football and with lots of trick moves. We have some tips and tricks for both modes.
Not an easy decision for newcomers: Which Madden 21 game mode should you choose?
Which team should I play with?
Die-hard football fans will surely have their favorite teams to play with. But if you're less determined or simply want to have a better chance of success, we recommend the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, or San Francisco 49ers, all of which have well-balanced teams with some strong single players.
In addition to these less surprising recommendations, you can also take a look at the notoriously weak Tampa Buccaneers this Madden season – no one else there has signed goat Tom Brady.
Leverage stake in Superstar and X-Factor Abilities
Let's stick to the single player theme: 50 players have been equipped by EA SPORTS with a special ability, the X-Factor Ability. These special abilities can be activated with certain achievements in moves. There are also the Superstar Abilities, other special abilities that have many more players and of which players can also own several, check more details from UTPLAY.COM.
A high-superstar X-Factor player: Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs
If you want to control players with X-Factor and especially many superstar Abilities skills, current Superbowl winner and MVP Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are the first choice among quarterbacks, but Drew Brees of the Saints and Russell Wilson of the Seahawks also bring a lot of superstar power. Another good choice is cover athlete Lamar Jackson of the Ravens. A database of all players and their Superstar X-Factor Abilities can be found at Madden School.
