import of medical devices

Only a restricted variety of clinical tools and IVDs need enrollment in India. A complete listing can be found in the CDSCO's Notice on the classification of clinical devices and also IVDs. This is not an extensive listing. CDSCO does not maintain a single list of controlled devices, however instead subjects tools to policy through the Medications as well as Cosmetics Regulations, the Medical Tool Policy 2017
